ASUSTEM Robotics Academy Partners with SACOST-UEW to Revolutionize STEM Education in Ghana

In a groundbreaking move to transform STEM education and technology-driven community development, the Centre for School and Community Science and Technology Studies (SACOST) at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has partnered with ASUSTEM Robotics Academy.

On January 20, 2025, at the Institute for Educational Research and Innovation Studies (IERIS) Conference Room, both institutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate in key areas:

Fostering Innovation – Developing groundbreaking STEM programs to inspire young minds.
Empowering Volunteers – Engaging educators and professionals to drive meaningful impact.
Enhancing Educational Opportunities – Providing hands-on learning experiences in robotics, AI, coding, and data analytics for diverse age groups.

A Bold Vision for STEM Advancement

This collaboration seeks to develop and implement joint STEM initiatives, secure funding for related projects, and integrate SACOST-UEW’s educational expertise with ASUSTEM’s technological innovations.

Prof. Enoch Sam, Head of SACOST-UEW, emphasized the partnership’s role in enhancing visibility and achieving shared objectives, announcing the immediate formation of a joint committee to drive collaborative efforts.

Prof. Daniel Yelpieri, Acting Director of IERIS at UEW, highlighted the power of combining resources and expertise to advance STEM education and community science initiatives. He praised the commitment of both institutions to equipping future generations with essential tech-driven skills.

David Asumadu-Boateng, Founder & CEO of ASUSTEM Robotics Academy, stressed the importance of early STEM education in driving innovation. He proudly noted that children as young as five years old at ASUSTEM’s regional STEM centers are already developing robots, coding applications, and exploring AI, showcasing the academy’s mission to empower young minds through technology.
