Building Creative Thinkers for a 21st-Century Africa.
Asustem Robotics Academy is a non-profit STEM and design education organization committed to preparing Africa’s next generation of innovators, creators, and problem-solvers. Founded in 2019 and based in Accra, Ghana, Asustem Robotics was established to make hands-on, practical STEM education accessible to children, youth, and adults across Africa. Through robotics, programming, cybersecurity, data analytics, and other 21st-century skills, we equip learners with the tools to thrive in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
Our approach goes beyond the classroom; we inspire curiosity, creativity, and confidence through real-world projects, innovation challenges, and community-based STEM programs. From our Catch Them Young initiative for children to the TransforME STEM Project and GPower (Females in STEM) program for youth and professionals, every Asustem learner experiences practical, problem-driven learning that connects technology to real impact.
At the heart of our work is a belief that Africa’s growth depends on empowered thinkers and makers. Guided by our core pillars of Innovation, Inclusion, and Impact, we collaborate with schools, organizations, and corporate partners to bridge the digital divide and build local capacity for sustainable development.
Since our founding, we’ve trained 5,000+ learners, partnered with 30+ schools and institutions, and launched 20+ active courses across multiple regions. Over 85% of our students report improved creativity, problem-solving, and confidence after completing our programs.
Our work has been recognized with several national and international honors, including:
- Best NGO/Foundation in Ghana (2023) – Golden ACE & Leadership Awards
- Finalist, Humanitarian/NGO of the Year (2023) – Ghana Entertainment Choice Awards
- Best NGO in Innovation and Excellence in STEM Education (2025) – Africa Corporate Summit
Asustem Robotics continues to grow as a community of educators, innovators, and changemakers who believe in Africa’s potential to lead in science, technology, and innovation. Together, we are building a future where every learner, regardless of age, gender, or background, can imagine, create, and lead.
